TIG & MIG welding

MIG welding is a welding process that uses the energy supplied by the electric arc which is established between a fusible metal electrode (welding wire) and the pieces to be welded, all under a flow of gas or gaseous mixtures whose nature determines the type of process: inert (Metal Inert Gas) or active (Metal Active Gas).

In the TIG procedure, the electric arc strikes and remains between an infusible tungsten electrode and the piece to be welded. The wire is continuously fed by a wire feeder through the torch to the melting bath.

The welding department of Tiv Srl makes use of multiple Tig-Mig welding stations, with hoists and aspirators.

We weld all the following materials:
– Iron S235JR
– AISI 304 AISI 316 steel
– Satin and polished AISI 2B steel
– Aluminum Profiles and Sheets

The staff has a TIG-MIG welding license.
